A C500 Wedding Surprise That Brought Tears of Joy
How Gábor and the Nestworks team created a secret brass ring for Renáta, Gábor’s wife.
In August 2026, Gábor and Renáta were married in Hungary after many years together. During the ceremony, they exchanged their official wedding bands and became husband and wife. Gábor also had another ring waiting, one Renáta knew nothing about.
The surprise was a custom brass ring designed by Nestworks and machined entirely on the C500. The project had been quietly underway since July, with Gábor and the Nestworks team working together to keep it hidden until the wedding.

A Secret Plan Begins
Earlier in July, Gábor happened to get in touch with Nestworks. When the team learned that he and Renáta were about to be married, they began planning a wedding-day surprise with him.
The idea was to create a ring that felt personal to the couple and could be revealed after the formal exchange of wedding bands. Renáta could not know about it in advance, so the design, machining, and shipping all had to stay quiet.
A Design Inspired by Hungarian Tradition
Nestworks industrial designer Xingyu led the design. He drew on traditional Hungarian folk patterns and developed distinct details for the bride and groom within the artwork. At the same time, the overall shape stayed close to the familiar style of a traditional wedding band.

Gábor and Renáta's names were added to make the ring unmistakably theirs. The finished design balanced the decorative Hungarian motifs with a simple form that still looked and felt like a wedding ring.
Machining the Ring on the C500
Once the design was ready, every machining step was completed on the Nestworks C500. Brass was selected for the ring, and the team used the 4-axis accessory to machine around its curved surface.
The process took about 40 minutes. A flat end mill first removed the bulk of the material and established the basic form. An engraving tool then cut the names and finer pattern details. Using the 4-axis setup made it possible to carry the design around the ring while keeping the small features clean and consistent.

The Hardest Part Was Keeping It Secret
As soon as the ring was finished, the team shipped it to Gábor. It arrived safely before the wedding, leaving just one important task: keeping Renáta from finding out.
Nestworks had handled the design and machining behind the scenes, but the groom had the hardest role. Gábor had the finished ring in hand and still had to wait for the right moment. He managed to keep the secret all the way to the ceremony.
Tears of Joy on the Wedding Day
On their wedding day, Gábor and Renáta exchanged their official rings and formally began married life together. After that special moment, Gábor revealed the secret brass ring.
Renáta was delighted and completely surprised. Her reaction soon turned into tears of joy, adding a personal and memorable moment to an already happy celebration.
The brass ring was never meant to replace their wedding bands. It was an extra gift made especially for Renáta, with details drawn from the couple's home and their life together. Her reaction was exactly the surprise that Gábor and the Nestworks team had hoped for.
Congratulations to Gábor and Renáta on their marriage and the years ahead.
